Greetings to one and all in the GLBT community!!! My name is Daniella DeVille, and currently living in Beckley, WV, with my husband of 4 years and my two daughters. We have only been in the Beckley area for about two years now, but it is home. I am proud to say that my oldest daughter is also gay, in whom I am very proud of.

I am currently enrolled at New River Community College in the Nursing Program.  But wish to continue on perusing

my dreams to be a Nurse Practitioner, and work with patient suffering with AIDS and other terminal illnesses. I also

have been involved in lobbying congress to change the law towards same sex marriage in the State of West Virginia.

I would encourage all to write you congressman and continue the fight for equal rights for all in the GLBT community.

I started out doing Drag many years ago out of a labor of love for the GLBT community, but had taken a break for

several years to take care of the needs of my family. I use to perform years ago by the name of Savannah Smiles,

but had decided to change my name due to starting back into the performing art of Drag. I had performed in many

different clubs over the years. Most of the drag that I had done was Comedy and Sultry Blues Drag for non-profit

organizations and benefits shows for charity to benefit AIDS research and childhood diseases in NC, TN, and VA.

I had the simplistic idea of when most of the Divas started the art of drag by doing small venues and supporting

local non profit organizations, then maturing into fabulous entertainers with years of experience and guidance behind

them to bring quality and fantastic shows to the people. I have strived to be all that I could be because of the demand

from our fans for professional shows that truly give light to all the different talents every Diva contributes week end

and week out.

When people ask me why I do drag I have to say is that I love hearing the laugher and seeing the faces of the crowd

light up. I don't do drag for myself and the gratification that comes with it, but for the people who for just a moment

in time can be caught up in the illusion that performing Drag has, that takes them away from the hardships of living as a GLBT

person holds living in the Society that we live in.
